New Jersey high school student Hermandeep Dhami was among ten students selected as a 2012 Academic All Star by his local newspaper outlet for achievements in and outside of school. In his own words:

“The universal quality of leadership is not restricted to schools as it naturally reflects in one’s community. I am an active member of my temple, where I serve food for hours every time I attend. The proud leader and volunteer that I have become has made me a different person inside — a person that looks forward to one day changing the world through these characteristics.”
