“I’m proud to join Rep. Paul Ryan as an original cosponsor of bipartisan legislation denouncing this act of terror against the Sikh community in Wisconsin,” Royce said in a statement. “We must educate the public, letting them know of the commitment to service, equality, and tolerance embedded in Sikhism. The resolution might not offer consolation to those haunted by that violent attack, but it does display our commitment to religious tolerance.”
— Representative Ed Royce (R-CA) co-sponsors a bill tabled by Wisconsin Representative (and Republican nominee for Vice President) Paul Ryan to condemn the attacks on Sikhs in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
Ed R. Royce gave his standard boilerplate remembrance of the victims of 9/11, but doesn’t mention how he voted against medical coverage for the 9/11 first responders who were exposed to toxic materials when they rushed into the Ground Zero to save lives (H.R. 847 – hte 9/11 Health and Compensation Act). Ed Royce voted against the bill each time it came up, that’s what we all remember.
