Vineland, NJ gets a new Gurdwara

The Sikh community in Vineland, NJ, has just opened their new Gurdwara: The South Jersey Sikh Society – the city’s first Gurdwara – opened its doors to the local community on Sunday, December 5, 2010. The 8,520-square-foot gurdwara — a place of worship for the Sikh religion — on South Lincoln Avenue hosted hundreds of residents from across the region who came throughout the day to visit the new facility.

Sacramento Gurdwara among “Best of Sacramento”

Minnesota’s Sikhs have a new home

Next month, Sikhs in Bloomington, Minnesota will have a new Gurdwara (Sikh temple). The Sikh congregation has been holding services in a building that was formerly a McDonald’s restaurant.  The new building will be much bigger: Its nearly 300 followers, however, have outgrown the space and will move to the 8,000-square-foot former church building in Bloomington off 9000 Bloomington Freeway W.
