Sikh Coalition announces winners of Diversity Video Competition

This weekend, I will be attending the SikhLens Sikh Arts and Film Festival in southern California. I’m looking forward to enjoying to the showcase of Sikh artists over the next two days, re-connecting with friends, and making new connections as well.

If you aren’t attending the film festival, you can still enjoy some short films made by Sikhs. The Sikh Coalition recently announced the winners of this year’s Diversity Video Competition entitled “My Crown, My Faith”.

Satdeep Singh’s film Taaj (above) took the first place prize of $1,500 and was screened at the Sikh Arts Film Festival in New York earlier this month, and will be again at the SikhLens film festival this weekend.

In second and third place were the films Coexist by Abril Murillo, and A Day with a Crown by James Magazzino, respectively. You can view these films below, and can find more information about all of the winning films at the Sikh Coalition website.

I found James Magazzino’s video to be best, followed by Abril’s.I dont understand how Satdeep’s video relates to diversity.
