The Sacramento Bee is reporting that Gurmej Atwal, the surviving victim in the Elk Grove, CA shooting in March, died today. Surinder Singh passed away at the scene six weeks ago. There is no news on the investigation. It is a devastating and tragic loss for his family.

“This case is going to be broken by someone giving us that one vital tip,” said Officer Christopher Trim, a police spokesman. Last night, the Sikh and local community gathered for a candlelight vigil at the scene of the shootings of Surinder Singh and Gurmej Atwal in Elk Grove, California. Reports indicate that there were from 500 to over 1,000 people who attended. Police are still looking for the attacker(s). Read more about the vigil in the Sacramento Bee.
