“Know Your Rights” forum in Sacramento, CA this weekend

The Sikh Temple Sacramento is collaborating with SALDEF (Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund) to host a “Know Your Rights” forum this Sunday, July 29: The event is free and is a good opportunity for Sikh and other residents of the area to educate themselves about their civil rights. Sacramento Valley Charter’s first day of school

Today marked the first day of school for many children.  For most kids and parents, there’s always a sense of nervousness and excitement as students take on the next year of their education.  For the Sacramento Valley Charter School – the first Punjabi charter school in the United States – the excitement coming from the side of staff and administrators would be understandable.  It was their first day, too.

Sacramento, California Gurdwara contributes reward in search of attacker of gay man

Sikh-awareness seminars take place in California

As Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi this week, Sikhs are trying to bring awareness to non-Sikhs about the Sikh identity and religion.
