One can’t help but be reminded of the recent shootings of two Sikhs in nearby Elk Grove a month ago. Let us hope that American Sikh Day, occurring on one of the most auspicious times for Sikhs worldwide (when they celebrate Baisakhi), brings more awareness to the greater community about who Sikhs are and what they stand for.
